    • Monitoring and Documentation: Monitoring the patient’s response to rectal diazepam, recognising potential side effects, and documenting the administration and patient response.
  • Managing Side Effects and Complications: Identification and management of potential side effects and complications associated with buccal midazolam and rectal diazepam, including allergic reactions and overdosage.
  • Patient and Family Education: Techniques for educating patients and their families about seizure management, medication administration, and when to seek further medical help.
  • Documentation and Communication: Best practices for documenting medication administration, patient observations, and communicating with the healthcare team regarding the patient’s condition and response to treatment.
